I say, keep doing what you love! Be it cartoons or painting, I believe that Newgrounds offers an amazing place to share any kind of art. It may seem like the cartoony style is a bit overbearing at times but I promise there are many kinds of painterly styles out there, you just gotta dig deeper :)
